Organic compost

is located beneath the kitchen isle.

We separate

• Citrus fruit and
• coffee from
• the rest.
• Why?

Then, the organic waste is brought to our two composting piles.

After dumping it's covered with leaves.

Every time the compost is taken out it is moved to speed up the decomposing process.

Human compost

We use a compost toilet system, a dry system separating liquids (pee) and solids (poo). Poo is covered with saw dust to create healthy soil.

Please, refer to our toilet and bathroom section to find out how to use the dry toilets.

Buckets are taken out to the disposal area and dumped into the humanure box. It's then covered with ash and leaves.

Decomposition takes approx. 2-3 months.
